Review of Inside Man (2006) by Jerome K — 11 Nov 2011
My memory of this movie may be a little vague, but I do remember being thankfully surprised that Spike Lee didn't shove his racial commentary down our throats like he's normally known to do. Yes, there is some, but it felt relevant without being forced.
Kudos to him also for crafting an adept story. Very few thrillers these days have you constantly guessing and on the edge of your seat. Credit also has to be given to the all-star cast of Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, and Jodie Foster, who definitely came through.
Essentially, it's a riveting ride that smart fans will enjoy.
