Review of Inside Man (2006) by Maria D — 20 May 2012
The ideas in this story are clever and unique but when you have a story line that borders fantasy and reality (let's face it no bank robbery in real life would ever be so creatively executed) the characters/actors also need to be over the top eccentric in order for it to work and I just found them to be too conservative in this film.
Spike Lee is great and all, doing his thing the way he does it but if this film would have had a little more artistic self-indulgence like Pulp Fiction - Tarantino style etc., I would have enjoyed it much more.
