Review of Inside Man (2006) by Gabe C — 26 Nov 2013
This movie's only real flaw is the beginning. The first 20-30 minutes are fun in that "typical action movie" kind of way. This is when I started making predictions on where the story was going, and how it was going to end. Man was I wrong! This movie transformed into something awesome. The beginning felt disjointed, but when all the different characters started to meet each other and their storylines merged, what we get is a great drama with great acting, a well written script, and directing that pulls everything together. Even the music transforms from "typical action movie" music to a more jazzy film noir type music. Only points taken off are for the beginning feeling like a completely different movie. It felt like it didn't belong.
8.2 out of 10.
