Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Jean-Philippe G — 29 Mar 2014
A sad, depressing movie with a almost detached and dreamy feel that's very well acted and well directed. It's a beautiful film from start to finish, and the music in the movie is great. It's also very melancholy - Llewyn Davis seems to have no direction - just wandering from house to house and city to city.
It's sad, but it's a good movie. It's just not all that enjoyable, especially compared to Coen classics like Blood Simple. The Big Lebowski, and No Country for Old Man. Still, it doesn't mean its bad, and it gets a 5 star rating (props for not tacking on a happy ending at the end).
