I was going to let out a verbal diarrhea on how misogynistic, nasty and contrived this is. But, okay, I'm going to be generous because by film's end, the character is finally humanized and his tragedies are felt.
But I suggest people who like this film to go watch Not Fade Away instead. Same subject matter, but much more pleasant.
