Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Rachel W — 25 Mar 2014
You just want to hate Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan's characters so much, but you end up relating to them so well in this film. I really enjoyed the folk music, but if it's not your thing you'll find the music pretty drab and depressing. I prefer the style of the Avett Brothers, a contemporary folk-alternative feel and that's not what you'll get in this film, but in general, the soundtrack is excellent. I particularly enjoyed John Goodman's cameo and frequent appearances by the tabby cat.
Well done, all around!
