Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Marcellus E — 26 Mar 2014
The simplest way too put this is saying that this is a spectacular and very underappreciated film. However, I think this deserves more praise than that. The Coens have created yet another great film that boasts some of the best cinematography I've seen in a while.
And along with a solid screenplay, the acting is great. Oscar Isaac pulls off a memorable role as the title character. Although he's a bit of a jerk at times, I still kept some large amounts of respect and interst to him throughout.
The rest of the cast was good and John Goodman was a good choice to deliver most of the comedic moments. I also loved Llewyn's cat (although not exactly his) it was just an awesome addition to the film.
Lastly, although I'm not particularly very fond of Folk music, I really enjoyed it here. Overall, I think Inside Llewyn Davis deserved a lot more attention than what it has gotten so far.
