Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Aman A — 23 Apr 2014
Coen brothers have done a beautiful job with this movie. It is powerful and soft. The direction is spot on. The character management and script is what makes the movie so special. The shots are well angled, soft and subtle.
There is humour at right points but the over melancholy is portrayed through circumstantial issues and character flaws in an apt mix that makes you feel sad or bad yet doesn't force you to relate completely.
The music is amazing. Carey Mulligan is becoming a huge force in the acting world. Watch out for her!
