Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by David P — 05 Jun 2014
A gloomy tale of a failing folk artist, beautifully shot, acted, and performed. Although the Llewyn Davis character is a jerk that thinks very highly of himself, I couldn't help but feel sympathy for a guy going through quite possibly the worst few days of his life.
Kudos to Oscar Isaac for making this guy that could easily be unlikable into someone that you can't help but feel sympathy for. It's a damn shame the lack of Academy Award nominees this film received, it definitely deserved more for how original and how well crafted this story was.
Excellent music too.
