Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Anna B — 22 Oct 2015
Was not expecting oblique allegorical Coens in the style of Barton Fink/Serious Man on this, and was very pleasantly surprised (not that there's anything wrong with the other kinds of their movies, but you know).
It starts out so lightly humorous, an amusing study of a milieu, and then Llewyn gets in that car to Chicago and everything starts to get really unsettling. I love being unsettled by a Coen brothers movie.
