Review of Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) by Dan A — 06 Jan 2016
Great acting (Especially from Oscar Isaac), sharp humour and good music, which is big praise coming from me because I'm really not a live music sort of person, but whenever characters busted out their guitars for a sing-song I was all for it.
I wouldn't classify this as a "dark comedy", because that seems to be too much of an extreme definition, but certainly it's true that there's no happy ending, and nobody goes through any sort of character arc where they figure things out or become better people - everyone is a fucking loser and stays that way and I love that.
