Review of Inside Job (2010) by Laura U — 08 May 2011
Superficial, one-sided documentary. The documentary makes some interesting points, but fails to portray the complexity of the economic downturn. The director makes sweeping statements and interrupts and harasses interviewees of the opposite perspective.
He also uses clips where the interviewees are lost for words to make them look bad. The documentary also plays on people bitterness resulting from the recession. It gives the viewers what they want by making bankers the object of a witch hunt.
