This is probably one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. You can definitely tell that a lot of work and research went into the movie and making, what should have been a complex movie to follow, into an easy to understand story.

The thing about the movie is, while it may be depressing to see that all of these bastards that helped cause the problem go off scot free at the expense of MILLIONS of people's houses and jobs, there is a sense that positive change can be achieved if people were just united under a single cause.

Of course this would have to include the lower and middle classes, since the richest 1% of the population actually benefits financially. If people just fought back, and this may sound corny as shit but I believe it 100%, a revolution can be achieved.

Capitalism basically fucks you in the ass if you own a business . If your business fails, then fuck you because that's how the system works. I mean it's not like it's the taxpayers' responsibility to save your failed business.

Which makes the bailout an even more perplexing solution to the problem, especially when these banks were such an integral part of the collapse. Instead of the banks going bankrupt and going away forever, they get $700 billion dollars in taxpayer money.

Isn't that just lovely? Capitalism is great sometimes, ain't it? The CEOs of these banks get to keep all their fraudulent money they made BEFORE the collapse AND they get the taxpayer money to bail them out as well.

Meanwhile, the lower and middle classes end up paying the consequences of the bankers' actions. Foreclosure and unemployment up the ASS. It really gets under my skin how some people could create such a system where they don't have to suffer the consequences at all.

Just a fucking failure of the capitalist system if you ask me. Anyway, that's what the movie did for me, it pissed me off because of what was done but it opened my eyes in such a way that I can't not give this documentary my highest recommendation.

I know how much that means (ie: Not much) coming from a flixster review, but this movie definitely needs to be seen.
