Review of Inside Job (2010) by Adam B — 01 Nov 2011
To put it bluntly, everybody on Earth should see this film. It handles such complicated and downright bizarre subject mater in a way that is easy to understand and hugely informative. It charts the cause and consequences of the biggest financial meltdown in human history, and names exactly who is responsible, and my word if you don't feel a sense of burning anger after watching it there is either something drastically wrong with you, or you are a member of the financial services industry (although it would be hard to tell the two apart).
This is a film that is slick, smart and asks all the right questions at all the appropriate people, and makes fools of those who prefer to think of themselves and geniuses. I cannot think of a documentary in recent times that is so important and so profound.
It shouldn't matter what political or ideological position you take, this film will speak volumes, and have you reciting passages from Das Kapital and singing The Internationale by the time the credits roll.
A work of sheer brilliance.
