Review of Inside Job (2010) by Luke H — 19 Nov 2011
Essentially, this film tells us two things: Firstly, that human beings are greedy, selfish arse-holes, who can never be trusted, ever, and thus need to be monitored and regulated. Secondly, that the monumentally stupid idea of deregulating the banks led them on a downward spiral of greed, gambling, and pure fucking idiocy, into the pile of shit that the majority of us have since been paying for.
So, in a way, the banks aren't even to blame. They were just giving into natural human greed. It was Reagan and Thatcher who let them.
