Review of Inside Job (2010) by Jason C — 08 Dec 2011
Outstanding documentary telling the story of the financial crisis of 2008 (very much from a US perspective). The technicalities of the more complex instruments involved are explained effortlessly and there is a sound mix of history, context, cause and effect.
It's unfortunate (though hardly unsurprising) that some of the main players in the crisis did not participate in the film (and there are several of the interviewees who clearly regret their agreement to), and that is the only reason for not awarding a 9.
Definitely worth watching if you want to realise why modern politics and modern economics simply do not work for the common man.
