Review of Inside Job (2010) by Anthony F — 24 Dec 2011
This is a film about possibly the greatest acts of thievery in human history, involving the theft of billions from the economies of nations.
But what makes this film truly great are the lessons it teaches us about the unfathomable depths of human greed, the costs of that greed to the victims, how the perpetrators executed their plans, and how they are still at large.
This film is a must-see; it should be shown and studied in schools as an exemplar to future generations of how Capitalism and a reliance on market forces alone, ie allowed to run unregulated, simply bring out the worst in human nature.
Perhaps the most alarming thing I realized after watching this film three years after the events is that, despite all we know, and in spite of all the evidence, nothing has changed.
