All of the musical cues culled from the BOOGIE NIGHTS soundtrack notwithstanding, this is still an incisive, original look into the early 70s porno chic boom, with the famous title at its center being used as a jumping-off point to discuss the ultimate results of that brief period of time when sex entered the mainstream collective unconscious.
With Gore Vidal, Norman Mailer, and Camille Paglia being interviewed, this definitely canâ??t be considered lightweight.
