Sort-of interesting, but somewhat of an apologia, I think, this needs a certain amount of between-the-lines appraisal. Deep Throat itself doesn't seem to be listed in Flixter, but it's pretty crap, in a sort of cheerful kind of way - rather like a hardcore Robin Asquith film, or something - the fact that it became so significant in the US probably tells you more than you want to know about US sensibilities of the time.
