Review of Innocent Blood (1992) by Bethany F — 27 Mar 2008
Each time I see this film I fall more in love with it.
My only complaints are that the contact lenses made the vampires appear more like Lizard people than vampires, they changed color and their eyes were looking in the wrong direction half the time.
And also there were no fangs, the film still worked without fangs but granted... fangs are nice to show if you are having all the other rules of "Vampirism" in the film.
Marie was also sometimes hard to understand when her voice was distorted because of her french accent.
I loved the cameo's in this film.
Frank Oz as a mortician.
Tom Savini as a Paparazzi.
Dario Argento as a Paramedic.
And having Sam Raimi as a butcher was hilarious, completely reminiscent of his character from the film "Intruder" where he also plays a butcher.
The music was fantastic, it couldn't have been easy to balance Sinatra and Prince.
I definitely love this movie, there's not much more to say.
