Review of Innocent Blood (1992) by Jake H — 17 Mar 2008
Apparently Innocent Blood is a horror comedy. Having fallen asleep the first two times I tried to watch it, I can't agree with either of those labels. I expected John Landis to do for vampires something similar to what he'd done with werewolves in An American Werewolf in London.
Instead, we get a not terribly inventive take on the vampire myth coupled with an embarrassingly weak mob story. If it weren't for the fact that John Landis directed this, I'd probably give it just the one star.
