Review of Innerspace (1987) by Alex M — 18 Feb 2008
What a weird, weird movie, with a weird cast, and weirder plot. Thankfully, the film's wackiness is its best quality, as it makes an attempt at being a fantastical screwball comedy. Martin Short actually comes off as charming, rather than annoying, and the film is worth a view as an oddity piece.
The special effects of Quaid's character inside of Short's body are also pretty neat, and despite the story taking some unbelievable turns, it generally comes off as odd and funny, though not overly memorable.
It's more of an effects piece than anything else.
