Well this was certainly a classic in its own right and the sort of science fiction that remains highly approachable by the average movie-goer.
It helped introduced the concept of miniaturization on a larger scale (ooh, fun pun) and revealing what an interesting world the human body can be from the inside.
Oh, and of course Dennis Quaid!
