Review of Inland Empire (2006) by Mike M — 09 Aug 2008
It's a lynch film, anything can and will happen. I saw this at a screening at the Prince Charles Theater in London, while I was working over there. On another note I think it is atrocious that Australians have to wait so long for the release of films.
Back to the film though, If you've made it this far, you are most probably a lynch fan. Laura Dern has come a long way since blue velvet, she is so fantastic here. I love the DV cinematography, the lighting, the music, and Jeremy Irons is also fantastic here.
The film is remarkably scary and unpredictable. It's like a paranoid trip through hell, which only Lynch can provide.
