Review of Inland Empire (2006) by Toni S — 31 May 2009
David Lynch films are the closest most people will ever get to avant-garde cinema. His durational dwelling on plots that could easily be dealt with in 90 mins or less are an acquired taste. Sadly, this is not one of his best works, but it still makes for hypnotic watching as the narrative folds itself onto inself without giving the viewers any of the closure Hollywood has been giving us for almost a whole century.
