The Lynchian directorial mark is all over this, however it has to be one of his weirdest movies yet. In a phrase, 'Seriously F**ked Up'. It juxtaposes several timelines and stories which merge and replay from different angles and characters, sometimes unexplained scenarios such as rabbits on a stage, though their setting does appear elsewhere.
To further complicate things, there is a film being made involving some of the characters. Prepare to be confused and you will often have to strain to hear what is being said.
