Inland Empire is Lynch's most experimental film since "Eraserhead." But unlike that brilliant debut (or its two masterful successors, "Blue Velvet" and "Mulholland Dr."), it lacks concentration.
It's a miasma. Cheap DV technology has opened Lynch's mental floodgates.
