Review of Inland Empire (2006) by Colby P — 20 Jun 2008
This is a masterpiece. Like a painting where maybe not every brushstroke cannot be followed and explained but the end painting and the message conveyed may be whats more important. Lynch can literally have a little digital video cam and almost no budget and I am still beyond glued to the screen.
Dern was brilliant here and a couple other familar faces helped and some scenes actually made me jump. Literally, like a real horror movie. A horror movie is what I consider this to be as a matter of fact.
This is a mind fuck, but it's a most welcome mind fuck and one of my favorite films.
