A nice diversion for 100 some minutes, but not as engrossing as some other fantasies and it feels slightly rushed. Paul Bettany and Brendan Fraser do fine work, and Fraser's chemistry with his daughter is good.
Andy Serkis as the main baddie has a lot of fun chewing the scenery.
