Review of Inkheart (2008) by Catherine S — 14 Feb 2010
It's not bad, it's just not good. The plot is decent, and the books featured in the movie are pretty cool. The effects were okay, in the way they re-created parts of the movie. The characters, however, were probably the weakest part of this film.
Brendan Fraser's character was the least convincing of the bunch. It felt like if you said "Oh my God! Your child is drowning!" he'd go "Oh really? What a shame." No feeling came from his performance.
It's not terrible, but it certainly not the best movie in the universe.
