Review of Inkheart (2008) by Heidi G — 17 Jul 2010
A severe disappointment. This movie had so much going for it that they could have worked with, but they used basically none of their elements. It all boiled down to just what everyone was searching for or what everyone wanted for their own lives, and through it all, everyone was just out for themselves.
Of course Brendan Fraser was himself, and Andy Serkis was a slight deviation from Gollum, and everyone else was just wallpaper. It had its moments, and it came off alright, but nothing grabbed the audience and pulled them in, in any respects.
