Review of Inkheart (2008) by Mikayla S — 13 Apr 2012
Now this movie Inkheart is your bad everyday kids movie! The story of Inkheart is about a man named Mo Folchart and when he reads a book he finds the actual characters from the book come to life. It becomes a huge problem so Mo must use his new special powers to send these fictional characters back to there own world.
So yes this movie does sound very clever and the storyline seems very entertaining for kids and that is all true, but honestly I couldn't really get into it myself. The book Inkheart I read in school when I was younger and I did find it very cool and when this movie came out I thought the movie would be awesome, but really I found the movie very cliched and uninteresting. I know when you put two big stars like Brendan Fraser and Paul Bettany in this movie you think it will be at least some what entertaining, but no nothing about this movie is very entertaining. If your wondering if this movie followed the book well, the answer to that is yes, but they put all the boring parts from the book in this movie, believe when you read the book there's so much more exciting parts. But whatever this movie is a total fail, I don't think I will ever watch it again it's not very deserving of a second watch.
