Review of Inherit the Wind (1960) by Darryl J — 31 Dec 2008
An exploration of the relationship between church and state, as well as the nature of good and evil. The movie manages to take both sides and humanize them, presenting their cases with eloquence and passion.
The acting is great. I've never seen Gene Kelly in a role like this, and he pulls it off wonderfully. Throw in some interesting camera work, and you have yourself a truly amazing piece of American cinema.
