Clever and complex script populated by very bizarre characters led up by Doc Sportello played very well by Joaquin Phoenix. All the supporting players are very good as well and it's directed with a certain hypnotic rhythm that tunes in well with the overall theme of hallucinogenic drug use that runs throughout.
It's a very strange trip through 1970"s California and not for everyone’s taste.
