This film is quite odd. I really like P.T. Anderson's films, but this one is a bit out there. The cast is good, I quite like Phoenix and always enjoy Del Toro. The main thing for me is I couldn't get into the story, and the flow of the film felt of.
I can see why Anderson wanted to make it, reminded me a lot of "The Long Goodbye" made by one of Anderson's heroes, Robert Altman. I did really like the soundtrack though. This is a film a may revisit in a few years and enjoy more upon a 2nd viewing.
