Paul Thomas Anderson has certainly directly some of the most interesting films I've seen in the past 2 decades. From Boogies Nights, to Magnolia and my personal favorite There will be blood. Now comes Inherent Vice, a movie that may prove a bit difficult viewing for the Paul Thomas Anderson uninitiated.
How can I explain it in a way that gives nothing away? It's a private detective film. Part film noir, part psychedelic drug movie, part dark comedy and part you should probably watch this while on substances to really enjoy it.
Paul Thomas Anderson hits another home run with the immensely entertaining and trippy film.
