Review of Inherent Vice (2014) by Moya W — 21 Mar 2015

I read the book just because I wanted to see the movie just because Reese Witherspoon was starring in it. Shame that Witherspoon was only really in three of the scenes and the rest of the movie was a nightmare.

Inherent Vice is filled with amazing actors but unfortunately they just didn't do this movie any justice. This is a movie that people will have very different opinions of. Some people will love it, others will hate it and some will find it to be somewhere in the middle.

I disliked the book and I was kind of hoping that I would get more understanding for the storyline by seeing the movie but I didn't. I think the movie managed to be so true to the book that I hated the movie just as much as I hated the book.

I am pretty proud that I managed to see the whole movie, I am even prouder that I managed to read the whole book. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, mine is that this movie isn't worth your money, it isn't even worth your time.
