You've heard that the plot is incomprehensible. You've heard mostly right. Flaw? Stylistic choice? Flawed stylistic choice. It does not matter when the end result is so fascinatingly strange & funny.
Not a bad performance this side of Reece Witherspoon. Even a minor work from P.T. Anderson is worth celebrating.
