Great movie ...if a little long...despite the claims not that "trippy" just a good mystery set in the late sixties...fantastic dialog...one note there is at "least" one character that only exists in our main character's head (ie the narrator) and is my personal theory that a second character is also a figment (Shasta II), note the ending is different than the book.
..Brolin and Phoenix were both robbed of Oscar nods as was the movie itself.
