Paul Thomas Anderson comes seriously unstuck with this impenetrable and very long gonzo comedy/mystery. Imagine David Lynch had been given the script of Chinatown and then decided to get his cast to improvise while stoned.
I'm a huge fan of Anderson, and this is the first blot on his CV.
