Review of Inglourious Basterds (2009) by Elijah C — 12 May 2015

For the first hour of the film I was strictly into it. Like really invested into the plot throughout. 'Inglorious Bastards' carries itself throughout with it's genius dialogue, gruesome violence, top notch acting, and a dash of dark humor.

Strong for a stand alone film. But for a Quentin Tarantino film its is underwhelming in a way. This is one of his most serious films. And barely feels cartoony not like his other films. I felt like the movie was a little too long even for a Tarantino film.

Certain scenes should've been cut out easily. Not to take credit away from this particularly good film. But the film sometimes tends to drag on and on. Of course it is setup but that still doesn't excuse this from a flaw.

I wanted to learn more about the "Basterds" in the film. I felt they should've had more screen time. But overall, another good movie under Tarantino's belt. Even though it is more different then his other projects.

This movie lives up to a good film in general and a good Taratino film in general. I will give this film a B+ grading!
