Inglourious Basterds is exceptionally acted, brutal and funny. It is arguably Tarantino's most mature, layered and coherent movie to date. Tarantino's style gets turned on its head in this one substituting excess for restraint which ultimately leads to a more enjoyable, fully realized film.
