Review of Inglourious Basterds (2009) by Joe C — 06 Dec 2013
Another good movie by Tarantino. Its kind of strange with his films because either you love him or you hate him. The fact is, no matter what, he is nothing but consistent. As far as this film goes, it is nothing short of great filmmaking.
You may walk in and say wow, am I really going to be able to sit here for near 3 hours and enjoy the whole thing? The answer is yes. One of the many things I love about Q is that even though his supporting cast may stay almost the same, his main stars always change which broadens his horizons and style.
With this film, it was Brad Pitt who was a master as always in his own way. For me, it was my first experience with the great Christoph Waltz and his oscar winning performance. A lot of stuff happens in this film that would take way too long to explain, but basically if you like the style of Quentin Tarantino, this is certainly one to see and most likely to have for the collection.
