Review of Inglourious Basterds (2009) by David L — 28 Feb 2015
Inglourious Basterds benefits from its outstanding cast with a standout performance from Christoph Waltz who is absolutely terrific, he steals the movie and is incredibly memorable and the film is, as expected from Tarantino, a vastly entertaining trip.
The ending is somewhat disappointing, some scenes are too gruesome and it's all over-the-top, but it is also filled with many riveting and very intense sequences, strong dialogue, excellent performances, engaging plot and interesting mix of alternate history and black humor.
Consequently, it is a violent and wild, but original and probably the most fun film from the director.
