Review of Inglourious Basterds (2009) by Ryan L — 08 Apr 2016
After Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 and Death Proof, the world missed Tarantino. but oh boy did he return in 2009 with Inglorious Basterds, his best movie to date. that's right, move over pulp fiction, this is a better movie. With one of the best writers, directors, and one of the best movie villains of all time, Inglorious Basterds is a perfect movie. From the opening scene with Hanz Landa "the jew hunter" having a conversation with a Frenchman I knew I was in for a treat. and I was invested for the rest of the thing. that's right. all 2 hours and 33 minutes. and no spoilers, but I think that this movie has the best written scene of all time in it. the scene at the bar underground. perfection. and so is the rest of the movie. perfect script, perfect directing, perfect acting all around, and a perfect ending. my favorite Tarantino movie and one of my favorite movies of all time.
10/10.
