"A BASTARD'S WORK IS TO KILL NAZI'S".

- 'Inglorious Bastards' is a 2009 war film from Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill). The plot is a fictional story about two different groups trying to assassinate the top of the Nazi Regime. It's title is a reference to the 1978 film 'The Inglorious Bastards'. In his typical way Tarantino mixes long dialogues with sudden brutal action. In my opinion it is not his best work, but I did enjoy it, especially the brilliant performance of Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) as Hans 'the Jew Hunter' Lanza. Other famous cast members are Brad Pitt (Fight Club), Michael Fassbender (Prometheus), Eli Roth (Hostel), Diane Kruger (Troy) and Mélanie Laurent as Shosanna Dreyfus.

Four years after her family was killed by SS Colonel Hans Lanza (Waltz) the young Jewish Shosanna Dreyfus (Laurent) changed her name into Emmanuelle Mimieux and runs a cinema in Paris. When she meets German Sniper Frederick Zolter, who starred in a Propaganda film, he falls in love with her and convinced Joseph Goebbels to hold the premiere at her cinema. As the top of the Nazi Regime will be present, Shosanne comes up with a plan to kill them all and avenge her dead family.

In the meantime, the British intelligence has plotted an assassination attempt of their own called 'Operation Kino'. They have send Lieutenant Archi Hicox (Fassbender) to France to meet up with Aldo 'The Apache' Raine (Pitt) and his 8 Jewish-American soldiers who are killing the enemy on hostile grounds. Aldo likes his men to scalp Nazi heads as trophies. His right hand is Donny 'The Jew Bear' Donowitz (Roth) who whacks his victims with a baseball bat. Together Hicox must rendezvous with German actress Bridget von Hammersmark (Kruger), who works as an agent and will help them to get into the cinema.
