Review of Inglourious Basterds (2009) by Josh R — 25 Dec 2015
Quentin Tarantino is definitely a master of his trade. His movies are always very over-the-top, as they homage other movies from the same genre. With this film, he takes his step into a Nazi-sploitation film.
I must say that I rather enjoyed Brad Pitt, and Eli Roth in their roles... wait, what? Eli Roth is in this? Yeah, he's in this movie, and he does a legitimately good job. Nice to see he wasn't completely doomed.
Perhaps he'll reappear in another good movie? But the actor that really stole the show was Christoph Waltz, as "The Jew Hunter." His German descent made him the perfect actor, as he was both humorous, and very deranged at the same time.
Kudos to Tarantino, who continues to amaze me with his love of cinema.
