It's just the produce of a degenerate, satanist, pedo nepotic artist family, really. The fact that Brandon would even do the same genre of movie as the dad, unlike a say, Sofia Coppola who at least tried doing her own thing, is unsettling.
The movie itself is not, it's just sociopaths trying to justify their own closeted-degeneracy through pseudo edgy catharsis, although they would probably falter at the least real threat of violence in real-life.
