Review of Infinitely Polar Bear (2014) by Andrew M — 04 Jul 2015
Honestly not sure what to say about this one other than I kinda liked it, but felt I should have liked it more. Really just a slice-of-life story about a father with bipolar disorder trying his best to be a good father while their mother goes away to get an MBA to get a better job and give them all a better life.
Whether or not you'll like this highly depends on how much you buy Ruffalo's portrayal, and for the most part I did. Both he and Saldana portray their characters as fiercely independent, and determined to get out of their situation with as little external help as possible.
I can't give it a full endorsement because the story is a bit scattered, but that was probably the point.
