Review of Infinite Storm (2022) by Jluis_001 — 03 Apr 2022
Since 2019 Naomi Watts seems interested in stepping out of a comfort zone and has been starring in very different films from each other, with equally varied results.
Infinite Storm at least if anything was more exciting than her last film in which she spends nearly an hour onstage running around. A survival story in which the protagonist had the skills to get out of her predicament, but it is someone else she must save to make the story exciting. It is applauded that even with all the explanations the film respects the fact that its female lead is the one who carries the show of doing incredible things in an extreme situation. Needless to say, Infinite Storm is the kind of movie that doesn't take chances, and in a way it didn't need to, at least not to satisfy the demand to become something bigger than it really is.
The balance between action and flashbacks may not be the best, but within reason the film does the best it can with what it has. No more, no less.
